Odisha plans to plant 5 crore trees this year, utilizing 30-month-old saplings instead of the usual 18-month-old ones. Additionally, 16 lakh palm trees will be planted to reduce lightning-related deaths, as announced by Satyabrata Sahu, Secretary of the Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Department.
