Nayab Singh Saini, a first-time BJP MP, was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana on Tuesday, along with five Cabinet colleagues. His appointment came after incumbent Manohar Lal Khattar and the entire cabinet resigned earlier in the day. Saini, with strong backing from the OBC community, will serve as Chief Minister for seven months until the state goes to polls.
