Boudh Distillery donates RO water purifier to Community Health Center

Boudh: In a bid to fight back chronic jaundice and other drinking water borne diseases in Boudh District, Boudh Distillery Pvt. Ltd. (BDPL) as part of it’s drinking water facilitation campaign has donated an advanced RO water purifier to the Community Health Center at Puruna Cuttack. In presence of Medical Officer in Charge, Dr. Rabi Narayan Parmanik and Managing Director of BDPL, Ritesh Sahu, the 120 liter per hour purifying capacity RO water purifier was inaugurated by the Chief District Medical Officer, Dr. Bijan Kishore Mohanty.
Appreciating the initiative by BDPL Dr. Bijan Kishore Mohanty, CDMO, Boudh said, “Corporate Social Responsibility should not be restricted to traditional practices. It has to be need based. I am sure that this initiative of BDPL will definitely be followed by others”.
“When our CSR team found drinking water is the most needed thing at this point of time, we started the drinking water facilitation campaign in a first track manner. Apart from this, we have installed different RO purifiers in different schools and temples in the past and there are some more to be installed soon. There are many such CSR projects other than drinking water are in pipeline to be undertaken soon.” said Ritesh Sahu, Managing Director of the company.
It should be noted, keeping in mind the drinking water situation of the area, the company earlier has done a lot of such activities in the locality. Recently it has installed RO Water Purifier in schools of four villages namely Rambikata, Bhartapur, Sampoch and Shyamsundarpur, of Harabhanga block of Boudh ensuring purified drinking water for around 800 students.
