Report by our correspondent; Angul: The State Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday unearthed huge amounts of disproportionate property of Gopal Chandra Bisoi, Assistant Director of Factories and Boilers, Angul after conducting a raid in the houses and office.
During the raid, cash worth Rs 3 lakh, a fixed deposit of Rs 15 lakh and LIC investment of Rs 14 lakh were seized. Besides, it was found that he has two buildings and a plot of land in Bhubaneswar and another house at Remuna in Balasore district. Bisoi is staying at Nalco Nagar here in quarter no TC-18 of Nalco. He is in-charge of Angul and Dhenknal districts for the last six years. As many as 36 labourers died in various factories and plants in accidents during this period.
He has been operating in these two important industrial districts with the active support of high-level officials of the Directorate of Factories and Boilers and labour department, it is alleged.
