One among four injured in attack on Odisha Labour Minister’s brother dies at SCB Medical College

Cuttack: Attack on Minister Susanta Singh’s brother, One among the four injured, identified as Dileswar Sahu, passes away at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack while undergoing treatment. Dileswar Sahu was driver of Subrat’s vehicle. He had sustained severe injuries on his head and other parts of his body.

It should be noted that Labour Minister Susant Singh’s brother and three other persons were attacked last night hours after the campaign for the Bijepur Assembly by-election concluded on Thursday.

The four were intercepted by unidentified miscreants near Banabira under Sohela block of Bargarh district late last night when they were on way.

According to reports, unidentified miscreants intercepted the four-wheeler of Susant’s brother Subrat Singh and allegedly attacked them. They fled the spot son after the attack. It has also been alleged that the gang of miscreants fired at their vehicle and damaged it completely; however, no one was hit.

The injured were immediately rushed to Sohela Hospital and later shifted to Burla Hospital where they are undergoing treatment.
