Odisha Chief Secretary reviewed COVID-19 situation in the State

Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, through a Video Conferencing today, with Collectors and CDMOs reviewed COVID-19 situation in the State. District wise status of surveillance, quantum of testing, availability of Covid Care Centres, Covid Health Facilities, medicines and test kits was reviewed.

Chief Secretary asked the Collectors to enhance per day sample collection at least to 500. The hotspot districts have been asked to scale up sample collection upto 1000 per day for early detection and treatment. It was emphasised to utilise Antigen test kits and to upload the test results in ICMR portal on daily basis.

Chief Secretary advised the Collectors to encourage Plasma collection drive and to provide necessary food and accommodation facilities to the Plasma donors in their respective districts.
