IndiGo, India’s preferred carrier, has commenced direct operations between Mumbai and Ayodhya, effective January 15, 2024. Daily direct flights will improve accessibility and ensure smoother travel from India’s financial capital to the famous temple town in Uttar Pradesh.
IndiGo was the first airline to start flights from the newly inaugurated Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya, on December 30, 2023. Subsequently, the airline has regular commercial flights connecting Delhi and Ahmedabad to Ayodhya.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo said, “We are pleased to commence direct flights between Mumbai and Ayodhya. With this, we have connected 3 major cities (Delhi, Ahmedabad and now Mumbai) to Ayodhya within weeks of the airport’s inauguration.
