Bhopal: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya, Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan garlanded his portrait at his residence today. Adi Shankaracharya was the great philosopher and religious promoter of India. He provided solid foundation to Advaita Vedanta. His commentaries written on Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and Vedanta Sutras are very famous. Adi Shankaracharya established four monasteries in the four corners of India namely Badrikashram, Sringeri Peeth, Dwarika Peeth and Puri. His sermons are based on a form of the soul and the divine.
