Rourkela: Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, the founding chairman of India Africa Youth Energy Forum inaugurated the biggest tech fest of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela ‘Innovision 2018’ on Thursday. Inaugurating the grand event he said, ” Innovision without vision is pointless. without a vision of understanding, nothing can be successful. students should involve themselves in most and most developing activities through which the society can be benefited” said Subrahmanyam Pulipaka. Subrahmanyam Pulipaka is the founding chairman of India Africa Youth Energy Forum. He is the Global Energy BRICS young scientist 2018 award recipient. Subrahmanyam Pulipaka is the Founder and CEO of Soreva Energy Group. He has been involved in active research on the reliability of photovoltaics since last 4 years and was one of the youngest researchers from India to present at the 42nd IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference in the USA and 1st Solar Energy Forum in Qingdao, China. He is the principal at Pilani Photovoltaics, an R&D organization aimed at nurturing and developing technological solutions to solve energy access issues in rural areas. He is also actively involved in green skill development activities and addressed various intergovernmental training programs in India, China, Russia, and Rwanda.
N.k Samantray, General manager of Rourkela steel plant, Town and Administration congratulated the students for organising such a biggest festival. He said ”I Hope this festival will showcase some of the best talents of India. We need to organize this type of festival more and more to create a sense of energy and dedication within the students”, said the GM. ‘
Gracing the occasion Director of NITR professor Animesh Biswas said ”This time through Innovision students are organizing many interesting activities. This festival should not be limited to three days tech fest but it should be the medium of learning. I hope our students will learn a lot from different activities” said the Director.
Simanchal Panigrahi, Dean student welfare said, ” It is a very colourful evening. Engineering means powerhouse of knowledge, entrepreneurship, and energy. This generation is very lucky that they have all the technologies that are creating a revolution. There are two ways of leaning. Be in the box or think out of the box and I expect my students to think out of the box. The purpose of Innovision is to think out of the box. Innovision is a mixture of innovation and visionary. By realizing students should be innovative and visionary”, said the Dean.
Sai Ranjan Mohanty student convenor said ”This tech fest showcased the best talents. This is not just a festival but a legacy. It was built with the hard work and dedication by our seniors. the journey has been overwhelming. we faced problems but we refused to give up and choose to rise every single day”.
Professor Snehashis Chakravarty, President of student activity centre (SAC) welcomed the guests and the students. He wished for the success of the event. SAC Vicepresident Professor Shantanu Behera Thanked the dignitaries and the team for successfully organizing the event. During this three days of celebration ‘Innovision’ will host several events like quiz-o-Rama, death race, Digitizer, Maze Hunt, Housie, Bluelink, My BFF, Car expo, Drawing Machine etc.
