Report by Malay Mohapatra; Keonjhar : VidyaBhawan, a free residential school for deprived children in Keonjhar district celebrated its Ninth Foundation day at Khudaposi. Santosh Nayak, Senior Govt Official and Purna Chandra Mishra,Sub collector, Keonjhar inaugurated the function. The children went on a march around the village before the formal Flag hoisting and parade. Bharat Chandra Patra unfurled the national Flag and students spoke on the about the School and Independence Day. Winners in different contest held earlier were awarded by Social workers Dharitri Rout, Narendra Mohapatra,Benudhar Mishra and others. Binapani Kala Kendra performed the opening dance followed by series of cultural programme by the inmates. Film Star Udayan Aparajeet joined the performers on stage and was cheered by the huge gathering. Manoj Panda, Head TCS, Apurba Mohanty, News Head MBC TV, Bikram kesari Patsani, GM,CSR, Thriveni, Alok Saha, Senior Official,TEMPL, IIC Baria Police Station were among the distinguished guest. Within a short span of 9 years, the institution supported by Thriveni is the first Oriya medium school in the district which runs on Green energy, a Clean Quiet campus having adequate infrastructure and staff for which it has received ISO certification and awarded at the national level for promoting quality education in tribal areas, Founder Malaya Mohapatra said. The school has been providing education from primary to high school level.
