Puri: International working president of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) Pravin Togadia on Sunday visited Puri to attend a saints’ conference and had darshan of Lords Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra on the chariots.
Togadia, who arrived at Bhubaneswar by air at 9.45am, also visited Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Nischalanandji Saraswati of Puri and held one-to-one talks with him. Later, he attended a saints’ conference in the holy town to discuss about some programmes prioritised by the VHP.
Sources said Togadia discussed in details about protection of cow and cattle in the State by stopping cattle trafficking. He emphasised on laws of the land to protect the cows and cattle.
