Bhubaneswar: A high level interactive meeting between Centre and State Government, under the Chairmanship of Union Minister, Natural Gas and Petroleum, Steel Dharmendra Pradhan, was held over a Video Conference today.
While reviewing different issues Union Minister Pradhan said that Odisha has taken remarkable initiatives for making the State an investment destination. The successful management of cyclone has opened new avenues for investment. State is now ready for next higher level of industrial development in post COVID-19 scenario.
Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy, Principal Secretary, Industry, MSME, and Handloom, Textiles & Handicrafts Sri Hemant Sharma, Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education and CMD, IDCO Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister (5T) Sri V. K. Pandian, MD, IPICOL, Dr. Nitin B. Jawale along with other senior officers participated in the discussion. Different issues relating to next higher level of industrialization, both in MSME and large investment sectors in Odisha had been emphasised.
The proposals for facilitating FDI in focus sectors, participation of Odisha in all industry promotion initiatives and inclusion of Odisha Economic Corridor under Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) had also been deliberated in the meeting.
