Report by Kahnu Nanda; Jagatsinghpur: The Odisha tourism minister Jyoti Prakash Mohapatra on Saturday visited three tourist destinations of Jagatsinghpur district and assured financial assistance would be given for its infrastructural and developmental works.
Minister Panigrahi accompanying state water resources minister Raghunandan Das, Paradip MLA Sambit Routray reached at Jagannath temple at Gadakujanga and held a meeting with temple management and servitors and enquired their requirements for making for tourist-friendly. It is a historical place relating to Lord Jagannath’s ethos it cannot be ignored and he said the temple will soon be renovated and developmental works would be undertaken.
Then minister Panigrahi moved to Siali beach under Erasama block where inspected destruction causing to sea erosion and assured engineering department would be entrusted to protect the beach and described it is one of the beautiful beaches of Odisha after Gopalpur and Puri.
MLA Sambit Routray urged the minister to seek inclusion of at least three important places as Gadakujanga, Siali, and Bandar in tourist destinations. Minister Panigrahi assured the district collector would be asked to submit a report on these places then the departmental procedure will launch for its development. [Ends]
