Bhubaneswar: Renowned Odia Litterateur Prof. Nityananda Satpathy passes away at 83. Prof. Nityanand Satpathy was a pioneering literary critic and as the editor of “the Istahar” he promoted many young writers.
Nityananda Satpathy was Secretary Pujya Puja Samsad, Cuttack, since 1965, Sarala Award (IMFA), Bhubaneswar, 1980-1990, The Sampratik, Bhudaneswar, since 1985; member executive Orissa Sahitya Academy, Bhubaneswar, since 1994. Satpath was born on October 25, 1937 in Garai Sasan, P.S.Tirtol, Orissa. Son of Bidyadhar and Durgabati (Debi) Satpathy.
