Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik called on various MLAs and ministers pertaining to areas where party lost panchayat elections and raised questions on the reason behind the party losing public support in such areas.
Pattnaik called some ministers and MLAs of the areas. Duing the last election (panchayat polls) in Kalahandi district of the state, the party (BJD), the party has crushed down to a much defeated number, where Pushpendra Singhdeo holds a cabinet post in the state ministry. Pattnaik has reviewed the results of Junagrah area by questioning MLA Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra. Pattnaik specifically asked questions relating to the reasons for which people did not vote for BJD, and why did the people opt for BJP in place BJD.
