Five people died in lightning strikes in Odisha’s Bargarh and Balangir districts. In Bargarh, three men were killed while taking shelter under a banyan tree. In Balangir, a mother and her son died while working in a paddy field. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia for each victim’s family.
