Kaniha: NTPC Talcher Kaniha is committed for the peripheral development of its locality by organizing various special welfare activities including promotion of sports.
NTPC Talcher Kaniha supported for organization of Inter Schools Annual Sports Meet-2018 of Kamarei Gram Panchayat on 7th February 2018. Around 500-600 students of various schools participated in this event.
The objective of the programme was to motivate rural youths towards physical fitness and showcase their extra-curricular activities.
Chief Guest BDO, Kaniha and Guest of Honour, BEO, Kaniha, Chairman of Panchayat Samiti, Kaniha were also present during the programme. They emphasized upon the usefulness of sports for healthy body and mind which will enable the students to pursue studies properly. Tehsildar, Kaniha also emphasized the importance of physical fitness for children.
Shri A K Das, Sr. Manager(HR-CSR) and Sh. M.V.Rao, ES(HR-CSR), NTPC Kaniha spoke on the need of such type of programme for overall development of the students.
Shri Dukhabandhu Bhutia, Sarapanch of Kamarei Gram Panchayat thanked NTPC for its assistance to make this programme a grand success.
