Rourkela: A newly married couple, seven others were killed in a road mishap near Lathikata. The mishap occurred at Lathikata on the outskirts of Rourkela on NH-143 in Sundargarh district early on Tuesday morning when a speeding dumper coming from opposite direction rammed into the Innova car in which the couple and other people were returning to Rourkela after the marriage in Berhampur.
The deceased were identified as Susant Rath (bridegroom), Sunita Panda (bride), Susant Giri (driver), Chandrama Rath (bridegroom’s cousin), bride’s sisters Sujata Panda and Sonali Panda and photographer Ramesh Mishra.
