Madhya Pradesh CM talks about adopting aggressive strategy to eliminate covid

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there is a continuous decline in Corona cases in the state. The infection is steadily decreasing and a large number of patients are recovering daily. Every single patient is being identified and treated in rural and urban areas under the Kill Corona Campaign.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that now we should adopt an aggressive strategy and eliminate Corona from the state soon. Mobile testing units should be started in cities and villages and aggressive testing should be conducted. More and more tests should be conducted. Ensure that not a single patient is left out. Also, vaccination work should also be done on a war footing.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state through video conferencing from his residence today. Ministers, officers in-charge and all concerned were present in the video conference.

Union Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar joined the VC from Sheopur. He appreciated the entire team including Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for effective control of Corona in Madhya Pradesh. He thanked Chief Minister Shri Chouhan for the availability of oxygen, Remdesivir injection etc. and best health services and infrastructure in the state.

Over 200 cases in 4 districts and more than 100 cases reported in 10 districts

Now only 4 districts have more than 200 new cases and 10 districts have more than 100 cases in the state. As many as 1262 new cases of Corona have been reported in Indore, 661 in Bhopal, 306 in Jabalpur, 201 in Sagar, 175 in Gwalior, 170 in Ratlam, 168 in Rewa, 154 in Ujjain, 111 in Anuppur and 105 in Shivpuri district.

5412 new cases

Today 5412 new cases of Corona have been reported the state, 11 thousand 358 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. The Corona growth rate of the state is 1 percent and weekly positivity rate is 11 percent. Today’s positivity is 7.8 percent and weekly cases are 51 thousand 486.

Positivity rate less than 5 percent in 9 districts and 25 districts with less than 10 percent

Nine districts of the state have less than 5 percent weekly positivity rate, while 25 districts have less than 10 percent weekly positivity. Guna, Chhindwara, Bhind, Barwani, Burhanpur, Ashoknagar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Khandwa have less than 5 percent weekly positivity and districts including Hoshangabad, Dewas, Satna, Raisen, Balaghat, Rajgarh, Mandsaur, Vidisha, Mandla, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh , Morena, Harda, Sheopur, Agar-Malwa and Niwari have less than 10 percent weekly positivity rate. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan congratulated all the districts with less infection.

Start providing benefits of scheme in a day or two

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to start providing benefits of the scheme to children whose both parents have died due to Corona, in a day or two. As many as 155 such children have been identified in 28 districts of the state, who are to be given the benefit of the scheme.

Corona Volunteers must be honoured

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona Volunteers should be honoured for outstanding work. In a review of Jabalpur district it was found that 1925 Corona volunteers are active in the district, who are providing services like conducting funeral of unclaimed Corona patients.

Congratulations to Jhabua and Khandwa

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan congratulated the districts of Jhabua and Khandwa for decline in Corona infection. Weekly positivity in Jhabua is 0.8 percent and 0.2 percent in Khandwa. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that extensive efforts must be made to nullify Corona infection here.

Free treatment of 23 thousand 445 patients

About 23 thousand 445 patients of Covid are being provided free treatment. Of these, 15 thousand 112 are being treated in government hospitals, 2396 in contracted hospitals and 5937 in private hospitals under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana. As of today, an expenditure of Rs 6 crore 10 lakh 19 thousand 628 was incurred on the treatment of patients under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana.

Criminal cases of fake drugs, black marketing registered against 67 people

Criminal cases have been registered in the state against 67 persons for selling fake Remdesivir, black marketing etc. Apart from this, action has been taken against hospitals for overcharging. Taking action on a total of 254 cases, an amount of Rs 97 lakh 29 thousand has been refunded to the relatives of patients.

Fake slots for vaccination should be examined

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that a fake slot case has also come up for vaccination. He ordered immediate action in this regard and strict action should be taken against the culprits.

Purchase will continue in places where procurement is remaining

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that purchases should be continued in those procurement centers where farmers have been left out from procurement of wheat and gram.
