Kol Development Authority to be formed in Madhya Pradesh: CM Kamal Nath

Bhopal : The Chief Minister Shri Kamal Nath has said that the tribal community is identity of our state. Its inclusive development is a part of our top most priority. He mentioned that a roadmap comprising all the welfare schemes of the entire sections of the society is being prepared by us for the development of the state. Shri Kamal Nath was addressing the Bandhavgarh Shabri Kol Mahakumbh in Umaria today. Moreover, the Chief Minister made announcement to establish Kol Development Authority in the state. He also assured that recommendation will be sent to the Union Government for giving Special Backward Tribal status to Kol tribal.

The Chief Minister mentioned that our manifesto is a main agenda for government functioning. Promise for the economic upliftment of farmers, youth, weaker section, backward class and poor besides development of the state has been made in the manifesto. We will fulfill all the promises of the manifesto by overcoming all the challenges and will create a new history of development in the state. He stated that tribal youth of today are ready for progress. The Government is making efforts to provide them better employment opportunities. We are making a well thought plan to give employment to unemployed youth by laying the network of investment and industrialization in the state. Moreover, the Mukhyamanri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana in the form of a wide scale campaign has been launched to link youth with employment by giving them training under the scheme.

Shri Kamal Nath said that we are committed to bring Kol community in the mainstream of the society and especially for the progress of youth and women. Mentioning about the loan waiver scheme for the farmers and employment scheme for youth launched recently, he said that we are moving ahead in the direction to strengthen agriculture based economy.

The Chief Minister was welcomed in traditional style at Shabri Mahakumbh of Kol Community. He was offered to eat Shabri’s jhoote ber in the symbolic form and was presented a life size portrait of Mata Shabri.

Minister for Tribal Affairs, Denotified, Nomadic and Semi Nomadic Tribes Welfare Shri Omkar Singh Markam, State President of Yuva Kol Samaj Shri Vijay Kol, Former MLA Sushri Koushalya Gotiya, Sushri Basantibai Kol and State President of the Pradesh Kol Samaj Sangh Shri K.P. Rakesh also addressed the programme.
