India today expelled a senior Canadian diplomat, citing interference of Canadian diplomats in India’s internal matters. In a statement, the Ministry of External Affair said that the concerned diplomat has been asked to leave India within next five days.
The Ministry also summoned the High Commissioner of Canada to India Cameron MacKay at South Block in New Delhi. It said, the decision also reflects India’s growing concerns at the involvement of Canadian diplomats in anti-India activities.
