IMI Bhubaneswar organized an event ‘Boot Camp’ for budding entrepreneurs

Bhubaneswar: International Management Institute (IMI) Bhubaneswar organized a ‘Boot Camp’ for budding entrepreneurs on 2nd December 2017. The camp was organized to provide hands on tips to budding entrepreneurs and expose them to the challenges and opportunities in the field of startups. Prof Devesh Baid, Chairperson of Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Cell at IMI and Prof Barada Prasad Panigrahy of National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) coordinated the event.

The event witnessed active participation from first year MBA students. They asked several questions and sought clarifications from experts and trainers. Sessions covered topics like idea generation techniques, legal aspects of business with specific focus on patents & trademarks for startups, choice of form of organization, and understanding of accounting & finance for managing ventures.

Entrepreneurial journey of young entrepreneurs of Odisha was also shared with participants guiding them about challenges, difficulties, and reward of entrepreneurship. Startup law consulting firm, Lex Mantra was invited to train students on the legal requirements in the journey of startups. Prof Kamala Kanta Dash and Mr. Siddhartha Mohanty represented Lex Mantra. Prof Devesh Baid offered vote of thanks and hoped to continue the ED Cell’s interaction with NEN and Lex Mantra.
