IMD’s Bhubaneswar regional centre announced the arrival of the Southwest Monsoon in Odisha, four days earlier than expected, on Saturday. Monsoon coverage has begun in parts of Malkangiri district. The monsoon initially hit Kerala on June 5 and has since progressed over various regions, including parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the Bay of Bengal.
