Dhenkanal: IIMC Dhenkanal reaffirmed it’s commitment towards saving the environment by distributing mango seeds to the students of Odisha State Open University (OSOU) who had come here to participate in a five-day session of special training programme based on hands-on activities for the journalism students of the university. The programme began on Monday (20th May) and will continue till Friday (24th May). The seeds were distributed by Regional Director of IIMC Eastern India Campus Prof Dr. Mrinal Chatterjee at the validatery session here at the campus.
IIMC has been organizing such training programmes for OSOU students since 2016. More than 450 journalism and mass communication students from OSOU have been trained by the premier media institution since then. OSOU is the only Open University in the country, which is providing a special hands-on training programme to its students. As many as 28 students from different parts of the state, pursuing diploma and degree courses in journalism, participated in this session.
