Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the infection rate has declined in the state. Corona infection rate had reached 24 percent in the state, which has now come down to 11.8 percent. The weekly positivity rate has also come down to 14.8 percent. As many 8087 new cases of Corona have come up in the state, but there should be no laxity now, the fight against Corona must continue with full rigour. With everyone’s cooperation, we will soon free Madhya Pradesh of Corona.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that if Corona infection is detected early, it can be treated and the patient can recover. Hence, one must not hide about illnesses like cold, cough, fever etc. One must inform about it, we will ensure your free treatment immediately.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Corona pandemic can continue for a long time, in such a situation every person must be aware of Corona. We will have to change our lifestyle. In future also, precautions like wearing masks, keeping distance from each other, not forming crowds, etc. have to be taken. Also, yoga, pranayama, balanced diet should be adopted.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan today addressed ministers, MPs, MLAs, members of Crisis Management Group, doctors, staff, government servants and general public engaged in treatment of Corona through web casting.
Salute to Corona warriors
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan first saluted the Corona warriors, who laid down their lives in the service of the public. He said that we will honour all Corona warriors. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan expressed grief and offered floral tributes to all those who died due to Corona.
No child will remain an orphan
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that children who lost their parents to Corona will not remain orphans. They will be looked after by the Madhya Pradesh government. Till they become competent, they will be given a monthly pension of Rs. 5000. Their free education will be arranged and they will also be given free ration.
PM Shri Narendra Modi thanked for continuous support to the state
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for his continuous support through supply of oxygen in Madhya Pradesh, availability of medicines like Remdesivir, new oxygen plant, Covid Care Centers, ventilators etc.
Five Sutras to eliminate Corona
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, while informing the public about his Corona Management Strategy, said that the five sutras to eliminate Corona in the state are Identify, Isolate, Test, Treat and Vaccinate i.e. identify the patient, isolate him, test for Corona, treat for Corona and vaccinate everyone. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the work of breaking the chain of infection is being done through Corona curfew and through the Kill Corona campaign, patients are identified, examined and treated. Also, vaccination of those above 18 years and those above 45 years is also being done in the state.
Inform about the illness
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that survey teams are going from door-to-door in villages and towns under the Kill Corona campaign. If you have a cold, fever etc., do not hide instead inform. The team will immediately provide you a free medical kit, get you tested and if you are Covid positive, you will be restricted to Home Isolation or admitted to the Covid Care Center or hospital as required. Do not go to quacks, inform about the disease and get treatment.
Getting tested is every citizen’s right
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is the right of every citizen to get tested for Corona. The government has made arrangement for free testing, for everyone.
Free ration for poor
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that five months free ration has been arranged for every poor in the state. Crisis management groups should make sure that the ration is provided to them.
MNREGA, plucking of tendu leaves and procurement work without crowding
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that MNREGA, tendu patta plucking and procurement work should be done with utmost care without crowding. MNREGA work should be stopped in villages where there are 5 or more Corona patients. The Chief Minister informed that 100 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured in the state so far.
Crisis management group at district, block and village level
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Crisis Management Groups have been formed at the district, village and block levels, which are looking after all the arrangements related to Corona. Health committees are also being set up in all the villages. The health committee has three public representatives and two government servants as members.
Covid Treatment Center in Municipality / Municipal Corporation
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Covid treatment centers have been set up in municipalities and municipal areas. Any person can visit the centres for Corona test and can get free medicines and counseling.
Arrangement of free Corona treatment
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that free Corona treatment has been arranged for the poor and middle class people in the state under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana. Corona is being treated free of cost in all government hospitals, contracted private hospitals and allied hospitals under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Free treatment has also been provided for the Black Fungal disease which has emerged as a post-effect of Corona.
Strict action against black marketeers
More than 80 persons have been booked under National Security Act and jailed for sale of fake Remdesivir injections and black marketing of drugs etc. Along with this, lakhs of rupees have been refunded to the public after taking action against hospitals that charge more for Covid treatment.
2400 health workers will be recruited
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that 2400 health workers will be recruited in the state in the next one month including 800 doctors, 800 nurses and 800 technicians among them. In addition to expanding health facilities, 5 thousand oxygen beds, one thousand ICU beds and 500 beds are being increased for children. More than 100 oxygen plants are being set up in the state.
Free treatment for journalists
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all journalists, photographers, videographers connected with print, electronic and digital media will be provided free treatment of Corona.
Crop loan repayment date extended to June 30
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the date of repayment of crop loans of farmers has been extended from 31st May to 30th June. There will be no Xth board examination in the state and XIIth board examinations have been postponed. State government is providing Rs 1000 each to Urban and Rural Street Vendors.
No relaxation in Corona curfew yet
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the infection in the state is continuously decreasing and the infection rate has come down to less than 5 percent in many districts, still there will be no relaxation in Corona curfew as of now. We have to break the chain of infection completely. Crisis management groups in districts with minimum infection should plan a formula for opening curfew in the coming time.
Trees are oxygen plants
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that every person should plant saplings. I plant a tree every day. Trees are our natural oxygen plants.
