Puri: Chariot construction work for Puri RathYatra commenced today at ‘Ratha Khala’ on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya. On the auspicious day of Akshaya Trutiya, the ‘Agyanmala’ (consent garland of Mahaprabhu) was received & Ratha Katha Anukula ritual was performed. This starts the process of chariot construction for Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra & Mahaprabhu Jagannatha at Shree Jagannatha Temple, Puri.
