Bhubaneswar: A 21-member Bangladesh athletic team reached here on Monday, ahead of 22nd Asian Athletics Championship schedule to be held at Kalinga Stadium here from July 6 to 9. 18 athletes, three coaches and an official of Baagladesh is the first overseas team to reach the venue well before the meet. They will have three-week training facilities before the meet. The Sri Lankan team has been expected to reach her on July 20 to give exposer to their players to the new venue and also acclimatise with the condition. Sri Lankan contingent is tipped to feature 15 male and 7 female athletes. These are 16 individual athletes and two relay teams. In the mega event more than 800 athletes and 400 officials from 45 countries would show their excellence in 42 events (21 for men and 21 for women). The newly relaid eight lane synthetic track in the main stadium as well the practice track is all set to host the international meet. The floodlight installation was completed.
