Dhamra: A two day long 12th Volleyball Tournament has been completed by Adani Dhamra Port on 26th December. In this tournament AmarNagar team won the championship. To inspire rural youths towards sports as well as physical activities along with education Adani Dhamra Port has taken initiative by organising various sports as well as educative programmes. In this context the two day long Inter Gram Panchayat ‘12th Adani DPCL Volleyball Tournament’ started at Dosinga Market. 10 teams from 8 Gram Panchayats of Adani Dhamra Port periphery participated in the tournament. The AmarNagar team of Dosinga GP beat Karanapalli team with 25: 21 set. Both the winning and runners up teams were awarded with trophy by District Sports Officer, Bhadrak Mr. Manoj Kumar Das. On this occasion Manoj Das highlighted on the role of sports to participate the youngsters in various sectors those who help in nation building. He praised the rural player’s participation in this tournament. He also said that necessary steps are being taken for the development of the talents and to make them rising sportsmen for which they would be able to participate in national as well as in international level competitions.
