49th National Safety Day Was Celebrated In IFFCO, Paradeep Unit

Paradeep: IFFCO Paradeep unit celebrated 49th National Safety Day on 4th March, 2020 for inculcating Safety awareness amongst the employees, contractors & their workers. This is the Day to rededicate to all for creating the safety culture in the organization and to have safe working environment.

All employees of IFFCO, Contract workers are assembled during the flag hoisting and oath taking ceremony on the opening day of the National Safety Week.

Chief Guest Shri C.K.Dalai, Asst. Director of Factories & Boilers, Paradeep Zone emphasized on all employees rededicating themselves for creating a safety culture in the organization to have zero accidents & to motivate their subordinate and colleagues for adopting safe work culture at shop floor. He expressed his satisfaction on IFFCO’s achievement of 2020 accident free man-days till date. He advised all the employees & contract workers to continue the same spirit.

Shri K.J.Patel, Unit Head in his key note address advised employees that it is our moral duty to provide clean, safe and fearless environment to our employees and contractor workers. “We should be vigilant and take utmost care while on job to avoid any untoward incidence which may results in an accident”. He further advised to use safety gadgets & equipments during work & strictly follow the safety norms to make the unit zero accident working environment.

Hon’ble Guest Shri A.K.Singh, Director (Technical) cautioned everyone to be vigilant while on the job to avoid any accident. He urged all to follow the slogan “Enhance Safety & Health Performance by Use of Advanced Technologies”.
An exhibition of Fire & Safety gadgets was also organized for all employees, contractor workers and use of these gadgets were explained by F&S staff to employees as well as contractor workers to carry out the jobs safely.

A Safety Chariot (Suraksha Rath) was inaugurated by chief guest which shall move during the safety week from place to place of nearby villages and schools to create awareness among the public for what to do in case of emergencies like various toxic gases ( Ammonia, Chlorine) leakages and leaflets regarding this shall be distributed to them.
Shri S.K.Kamble Sr.Manager (F&S) presented the Annual Safety Report and expressed hope for an accident free year ahead.
