Writing requires experience, observation and imagination: Ramendra Kumar
Dhenkanal: As a part of IIMC Dhenkanal’s silver jubilee initiative, a writing workshop was organised here at the campus. The workshop was curated by noted writer and CPRO of Rourkela Steel Plant, Ramendra Kumar.
Addressing the participants on fiction writing, Kumar said, “Writing is an art which can not be done by everyone. But with experience, observation and imagination, a person can tell his story professionally. Use of everyday events and language enables the writer connect with a larger group of audience.”
In the workshop, Kumar discussed on various aspects of fiction writing and inspired the budding media professionals to pursue writing along with their respective courses. More than a hundred students from IIMC, Dhenkanal, Synergy Engineering College, and Revenshaw University participated in the workshop.
A book, written by Professor Mrinal Chartterjee ‘Yamraaj No 5003’ was also launched at the event.
