V.V.Giri National Labour Institute organized five days training programme on Skill Development

Bhubaneswar : V.V.Giri National Labour Institute in collaboration with Nabakrushna Chaudhury Centre for Development Studies, Bhubaneswar organized five days training programme on Skill Development for Youth Employability and Entrepreneurship at Bhubaneswar which was concluded on Friday. The programme aimed to acquaint the young participants from different universities with the knowledge, importance and prospects of skill development in enhancing employability and entrepreneurship of youth. After completion of master degree course they are supposed to take up different career options .This programme will enrich their understanding of skill development, enhance their capabilities and enable them to play larger role for the skill development of youth of the nation.
Thirty Seven students from eight universities of Odisha namely; Utkal University, Sambalpur University, Central University, Koraput, Fakir Mohan University, North Odisha University, BPUT, Khallikote University and KIIT University participated in this programme. A field visit was undertaken to KIIT Technology Business Incubator to understand the innovation based startups and INVENT the incubator for social entrepreneurship. Professor Srijit Mishra, Director of NCDS addressed the valedictory and distributed certificates to the participant. Dr C.R. Das was the coordinator from NCDS. Mr. P.Amitav Khuntia, Associate Fellow, V.V.Giri National Labour Institute, Noida was the Course Director of the programme. Resource persons from academics, industry, development professionals including the course director Mr. Khuntia delivered various sessions.
