Bhopal: Secretary, Union Ministry of AYUSH and eminent Ayurveda doctor Padmashree Dr. Rajesh Kotecha met Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the Chief Minister’s residence today. During the meeting, he informed about the various works being done under the Department of AYUSH in Madhya Pradesh in collaboration with the Government of India.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that under the goal of Aatma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh, use of traditional medicines and traditional treatment methods in the state under the action plan of AYUSH department, setting up of more than 360 new AYUSH health and wellness centers, including construction of Ayush super specialty hospitals in Indore and Bhopal. It also include upgradation of Ayurvedic and Unani hospitals in the state and research and development of AYUSH medicines.
During the meeting Shri Kotecha reviewed Chief Minister Shri Chouhan about the set up of Regional Unit of Global Center for Traditional Medicine and Ayush Export Promotion Council in Bhopal, declaration of Pandit Khushilal Sharma AyurvedicMahavidyalaya as National Institute of Central Zone, Herbal Garden approval for Madhya Pradesh. In partnership with the Department of AYUSH and Tourism in Madhya Pradesh, the establishment of wellness centers at tourist places, preparation of medicines from medicinal plants available in abundance in the state and Devarnya scheme etc. were also discussed.
