Tusker Passes Away During Treatment in Khesra Forest of Odisha’s Sundargarh District

An ailing tusker in Sundargarh district passed away while receiving medical attention near Rangeiguda village. Initially sighted in the Koida forest range, the elephant fell ill and moved into the Banki range. Despite efforts from forest personnel, the tusker stopped responding to treatment and succumbed. This incident follows the earlier discovery of a decomposed tusker carcass in Sambalpur district in February 2024.
