TP Northern Odisha Distribution Ltd launches multiple payment avenues through partners – Bharat Money Store & Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) to enhance customer bill payment convenience

Balasore, 10th December 2021: TP Northern Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPNODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, today, announced its association with Bharat Money Store, a banking and transaction platform by Bharat Financial Inclusion Ltd. (BFIL).
Shri Bhaskar Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer, TPNODL, Shri Manoj Digambar Salvi, Chief of Commercial & CSR, TPNODL, Shri Ramesh Koul, Chief RCM, TPNODL, Shri Ritesh Chattarjee, Chief Distribution Officer, Bharat Money Store, Shri Saroj Kumar Tripathy, Joint General Manager (Tech) OCAC, Shri Vinod Kumar BN, Head Customer Service, TPNODL and Shri Chittaranjan Pradhan, PRO, TPNODL were present for the event.
TPNODL has collaborated with BFIL, IndusInd bank for accepting bill payment through Bharat Money Storewith a quest to enhance the energy bill payment in rural areas. With this service, rural customers can pay their bills at the nearest kirana shop. Around 4500+Bharat Money Stores, authorised local kiranashops are located in TPNODL’s operational areas as also 1300+ nos. Mo Seva Kendras.
A. Customers can visit the nearest Bharat Money Store for making bill payment with 3 easy steps:
1. Provide consumer number and mobile number to the merchant/ KIRANA Shop Owner
2. Get OTP from TPNODL on your mobile
3. Provide OTP and amount to merchant for bill payment and get payment confirmation through SMS on your mobile.
Under this association, TPNODL consumers will now be able to enjoy the freedom of paying their bills as per their convenience and will also be able to avoid long travelling hours to the payment centres. Manned by local entrepreneurs, these centres will provide convenience to customers. Benefit of this mechanism is that the payment made by consumer will be credited in consumer ledger on real time basis. The facility will be operational starting this month.

Keeping this in mind we have partnered with TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited to facilitate electricity bill payments in a fully digital manner, through our 4500+ Bharat Money stores covering 200+ unique pin codes and will serve 20 lakh+ customers. We look forward to co-creating more such initiatives in the near future to provide convenience to end customers.”
(B) Consumers can now easily pay their electricity bills online through odishaone.gov.in website & by visiting Mo Seva Kendras also.TPNODL has collaborated with OCAC, for accepting bill payment digitally through website odishaone.gov.in. Consumers those are not internet savvy may visit to Mo Seva Kendras where consumer will be assisted by Mo Seva Kendra official for making energy bill payment through cash. Around 1300+Mo Seva Kendras are located in TPNODL’s operational area. Under this integration, TPNODL consumers will now be able to enjoy the freedom of paying their bills as per their convenience and will also be able to avoid long travelling hours to the payment centres. Beauty of this mechanism is payment made by consumer will be credited in consumer ledger on real time basis. The facility will be operational starting this month.

(C) Digital payment through NEFT/RTGS/IMPS gone live with Axis Bank where consumers make payment though their internet banking.
Also, many other payment avenues like Self photo meter reading & billing, Billing & Payment on whats app, QR Code based online payment through TPNODL Collection agencies and Cash Collection counters at every section offices are in the pipeline and will be launched shortly for the consumers for payment of their electricity bill conveniently.
