Tata Steel Organizes Outdoor Leadership Camp for Youths of Joda

Joda: With an objective to bring in leadership quality among the rural youths and to develop their interpersonal skills, Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS) sent a total of 39 youths of Joda, Khondbond, Guruda and Jurudi to participate in a three-day Outdoor Leadership Camp scheduled at Tumung, Jamshedpur from January 21-23, 2020.
Mr Prashant Kumar Nanda, Head, HRM, Joda, Tata Steel flagged-off the batch in the presence of Mr Tanmay Kar, Unit Head, TSRDS and other officials of TSRDS on January 20, 2020 from TSRDS Office, Joda.
Mr Prashanta Kumar Nanda oriented the youths on how the programme will benefit them in developing leadership skills and imbibe team-spirit among them.
In the camp, the youth will be exposed to various activities like rock climbing, obstacle race, flying fox, rapling, point to point navigation, caving and trekking expeditions with an objective to develop skills on leadership and team work. All the activities are carried out under the guidance of experienced instructors of Tata Steel Adventure Foundation (TSAF).
It may be noted here that Tata Steel has been organising such outdoor leadership camps in all its operational areas for engaging the youths on a regular basis. In the last fiscal year, 80 youths from the region were sent for this leadership training.
