Dhamra: The 31st National Road Safety week has been celebrated at Dhamra Port premises. The week long road safety programme started from 11th of January and concluded on 20th January. In this programme safety awareness messages were conveyed to the labors and port workers through various awareness programmes, promotional messages and plays. The safety flag was hosted by port high official Sunil Thomar, Tapas Acharya and Subrat Mandal in the presence of other port workers on its inaugural day. The theme of this road safety program was ‘bringing change through youth’. A one-day safety camp was also organised by Bhubaneswar based organisation ‘Sankhadhwani’ on safe driving. More than 10 drivers of Dhamra port participated in this camp. In this National road safety week, quiz programmes, drawing competition were also conducted among women of local schools and DPCL Township. On its conclusion day Port CEO Subrat Tripathy focused on the importance of road safety rules as well as carefully handled the port operation work.
