Kaniha: Sports Council of NTPC Talcher Kaniha organized Volleyball & Kabbadi tournament for village youths on 26.12.2017 & 27.12.2017 respectively under CSR.
In volleyball tournament 28 teams from nearby villages of NTPC Kaniha took part in the tournament. Whereas the Rural Kabbadi tournament was participated by 16 teams from nearby villages of the power station.
Every year NTPC Kaniha organizes the volleyball & kabbadi game to promote rural sports among youth of station peripheral villages.
In volleyball tournament team “Takua” was adjudged as the Champion whereas team “Rangabeda” was declared as the runner’s up.In Kabbadi tournament team “Kaniha” won the winner ‘s trophy whereas the team “patharmunda” has to satisfy with the runner’s trophy.
Senior officials Shri N S Rao ,GM(TS),Shrii K S Sarma ,AGM(HR) Dr R K Misra,CMO , Dr Aprajita Misra & Shri A K Das ,Sr .Mgr(HR) graced the tournament as guests during organization of the rural games and felicitated the winners and runners up team.
