Rozgar Diwas programme will prove to be Mahayagya to build Atmanirbhar state: CM Shri Chouhan

New Delhi : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that “Madhya Pradesh is such a state in the country which has the lowest rate of unemployment. It is our endeavor that gradually the state should be made unemployment free. No youth should be disappointed on the land of Madhya Pradesh, education along with employment will be made available here. It is the resolve of the Madhya Pradesh government to ensure that every month about 2.5 lakh people should be linked with livelihood through various programme. With these words, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the Rozgar Diwas programme at Amardas Hall, Indore today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan distributed cheque and loan approval letter to beneficiaries under self-employment schemes. Assistance of Rs 466 crore was made available to more than 75 thousand beneficiaries for self-employment in the programme. Certificates of benefits were also distributed to select beneficiaries by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan laid the virtual foundation of the first toy cluster of Central India constructed at a cost of Rs 2.84 crore in Indore. He also launched an e-learning module for entrepreneurship development training.

Benefits of various schemes provided to about 23 lakh beneficiaries

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, efforts are being made to establish the country on the world stage. In this direction, the Madhya Pradesh government is also trying to provide better self-employment opportunities to its youth. On 12 January 2022, the first Rozgar Diwas was organized in Madhya Pradesh, in which more than 5 lakh people of the state were provided employment under different schemes. Till March 31, 2022, loans worth Rs 7 thousand crore were sanctioned to about 13 lakh beneficiaries by giving benefits of various schemes. Similarly, from April 1 to August 22, 2022, loans worth Rs 6 thousand crore were sanctioned to about 9 lakh 52 thousand people. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that from street vendors to start-up industry, we are standing with every person in the state who wants to start his own business. The Rozgar Diwas is not only a milestone in the making of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh, but it is a Mahayagya.

Toy cluster will provide employment to more than two thousand people

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that 42 clusters have been approved in the state, out of which today a toy cluster made at a cost of Rs. 2.84 crore was inaugurated in Indore. In this first toy cluster of central India, 20 small units will be established and more than two thousand people will get employment opportunities. An investment of Rs 80 crore is likely in the first phase of this cluster. Similarly, investment will not only increase in the state through various clusters, but employment opportunities will be provided manifold faster.

Target is to provide one lakh government jobs in a year

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan informed that he would soon provide appointment letters to about 16 thousand teachers on September 3 through a programme being organized in Bhopal. He said that recruitment is also being done regularly in the police department. He told that the target of Madhya Pradesh government is to provide about one lakh government jobs to the people of the state in a year.

Turnover of women of self help groups is Rs 20 thousand crores

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the women of self-help groups of our state are performing miracles. They are active not only in rural areas but also in urban areas. At present the turnover of the business being done by the women of Self Help Groups is Rs 20 thousand crores. For the manufacture of the products being done by the group, loans are being provided from banks every month, out of which only 2 percent interest has to be paid by the group, the rest is given by the Madhya Pradesh government. Nutrition food factories are also being run by the women of the group in different parts of the state. He said that the goal of the government is that every woman of the group can earn an additional income of at least Rs 10,000 per month along with her household work.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he holds a meeting with bankers every month to discuss loan approval. He thanked all the bankers for their cooperation and urged them that no eligible beneficiary should face any problem in getting loans.

People of the state will not be job seekers but job givers

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that today’s programme aims at instilling confidence in others through the beneficiaries. No one should be disappointed, better opportunities for self-employment and employment will be provided to every person of the state. The people of the state will not be job seekers but will become job givers.

State will be made an export hub

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that not only investment is increasing in the state through various industrial units, IT industry, automobile industry, cluster setup, startup etc., but new employment opportunities are also being created. He said that the industrial units working in the field of semiconductor are constantly being contacted. Working in this direction, we will soon make the state an export hub. He informed that two important programs would be organized in Indore in the coming year from the point of view of employment. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be organized in Indore from 7 to 9 January 2023 in which new opportunities for investment possibilities will open up for the state. Along with this, Global Investors Summit will also be organized. He said that Madhya Pradesh government is making efforts in all four directions to make the state self-reliant.

CM interacts with beneficiaries of Udyam Kranti Yojana

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also interacted virtually with the beneficiaries of Udyam Kranti Yojana in four districts of Anuppur, Shajapur, Barwani and Mandla. During the interaction, the beneficiaries told that they were sanctioned the loan in the shortest possible time and did not face any problem in obtaining the loan.

Over four lakh job opportunities to be provided through clusters – Minister Shri Sakhlecha

Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Omprakash Sakhlecha said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state which has started innovative initiatives like Rozgar Diwas. He informed that 42 clusters are being set up in the state through which more than four lakh employment opportunities will be provided in the next three years. He said that the capital investment and technology up-gradation received by the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has provided strength to the MSME sector. The state is now progressing rapidly in the field of industry and soon we will be able to create an unemployed free state.
