Koraput: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated Post Office Pass port Seva Kendra at Head Post Office at Koraput. Minister Pradhan said People from this remote district of Odisha will no more need to travel to Bhubaneswar for passport related works.
He said the PSK was launched as part of the Union Government’s ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ initiative. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj have decided to provide Passport services to people in nook and corner of the country,” he said.
He said various Government schemes like Beti Bacho Beti Padaho, Sukanya Samruddhi Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Pension and Bima Yojna and other Centers scheme would directly reach to the people through Post Offices.
Among others, MP Jhina Hikaka, former MP Jayaram Pangi, State BJP secreatary Bhrughu Baxipatra, State executive member Debendra Bahinipati, Sujit Pani, Subhendu Bramha and Srinivas Panda were present.
