Report by Badal Tah; Rayagada: The Imfa Ltd Therubali, conducted onsite emergency Mockdrill as per instruction of The Collector, Dist Magistrate cum Chairman Dist Crisis Group on 28th Feb 2020 evening I.e. from 17.30 Hrs to 18.00 Hrs. The mockdrill was conducted near our General stores I.e. fire simulation in our LDO Storage tank. In this Activity the officials attended are Mr Swaroop Jena Deputy Director Factories & Boilers , Mr Ranjit Nayak, Assistant Director Factories and Boilers. Mr Kabindra Sunani, Dist Fire officer, Mr Joteermayee Patro, Project Director OSDMA. Mr E V S Umamaheswar Sr GM Production, Representatives of Our mutual partner industries JK paper mill & employees also attended this program.
In the beginning Mr Ramakrushna Tripathy Sr Manager Safety explained, activities made throughout the year to empower employees regarding safety measures through various training. Sr General Manager Production explained regarding the process & Highlighted the various key hazardous area & their preventive measures.
Then an emergency rescue operation & awareness training was organized by the imfa fire & rescue team with the combat & auxiliary team,as a part of mock drill. After the operation a meeting was organized with all to take views from the observers regarding participation of all the team members.
The government authorities incluiding members of our mutual partner organization JK paper mill, highly appreciated the efforts made by all the team members regarding communication, coordination & intime response. And advised this type of holding such mockdrill will help & keep prepared in real time crisis. On this occasion Mr EVS Umamaheswar said any feedback or observation made by the observers will be followed & regular drills will be conducted in different areas.
