Daringbadi: Communalism and thought of communalism and casteism – quit India, destruction in the name of development- quit India, quit corruption or quit India, exploiters of tribal and dalits quit India, exploiters of women & children quit India , anti-people liquor business quit India slogan was chanted by the students, social activists and representatives of different community on the historic day of quit India movement as well as world indigenous people’s day at Daringibadi, the Kashmir of Odisha.
The historic day was been observed by the Campaign for Peace with association of Banabasi Surakshya Parishad, the people’s organization of Kandhamal district who fighting for the constitutional and legitimate rights of tribal, dalits and poor from last two decades.
A colorful procession with various placards on different issues and with patriotic songs and slogans was started from the campus of Dr. Bhim Rao Aambedkar National(Junior) College with association of Pramila Devi College of Science and Technology and marched different places of Daringibadi block headquarter.
After the procession they organized a meeting in the open play ground of the college campus under the chairperson of Mr.Chakradhar Mallick, an eminent social activist of the locality. They paid their homage to all the martyrs after the chorus performed by the students of Pramila Devi College of Science and Technology.
When Mr. Narendra Mohanty, the Secretary of the Campaign for Peace as well as one of the convener of Banabasi Surakshya Parisada was shared the objectives and importance to observe such day, the speaker like Mr. Bidesi Nayak the teacher of Simanbadi High School, Miss Rashmita Nayak, lecturer of Pramila Devi College of Science and Technology, Mr. Bhaktaram Digal, lecturer of Dr. Bhim Rao Aambedkar National(Junior) College, Mr. Junush Pradhan, ex-chair person of Daringbadi, Mr. Sunil Pradhan, Mr. Mahamed Abdul Sukur, an eminent rationalist and president of peace campaign, young poet and lecturer Kesab Dakua, the students representatives like Birendra Badaseth, Duhita Nayak, Dipanjali Pradhan and others also spoke on the occasion. All the speakers was given clarion call to come forward to fight against injustice, corruption and exploitation to build a peaceful , equitable, hunger free society by the inspirations of the great leaders and fighters who sacrificed their life for the nation and for the people. Mr. Jirimiya Sunamajhi, the young social activist was gave vote of thanks.
