Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has decided to provide 2.5 litres of kerosene per month for each family under the public distribution system (PDS), informed Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Surjya Narayan Patro on Tuesday.
The move would benefit around 44 lakh BPL families of the State, Patro said. The hike in the kerosene quota would be implemented from June this year. Earlier, 650 millilitres of kerosene per head per month was provided under the PDS.
