Bhubanseswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote to Union HRD Minister Dr RP Nishank to prevail upon CBSE to reconsider its decision on examination fees hike of Class-X & Class-XII students saying that the sharp rise would cause hardship to students, especially 24 times hike in fees of SC & ST students.
CM Patnaik said that Odisha has opened more than 200 English Medium Model Schools affiliated to CBSE in rural areas for the benefit of economically and socially under-privileged sections of society. CM requested him prevail on CBSE to reconsider its decision in the interest of people.
