Bhubaneswar: “Education is the key to transformation” said Mr. Naveen Patniak, CM of Odisha during his visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) on Saturday. On this occasion he inaugurated newly built library cum learning center sponsored by Tata Steel and the new campus of KISS University. Addressing 25000 students of KISS Mr. Patnaik said, KISS is the leading tribal institute in the world. He congratulated staff, faculties and management of KISS for getting university status.
KISS is pride of Odisha, it will bring more recognition to the state after getting university status. He urged the students to take initiative to give proper education to those children are still deprived of education in their locality. “Students, you try to change your family as well as your locality and community,” he also advised the students. On the other hand Dr. Acyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS shown his gratitude to Chief Minister for coming KISS first time after being university. Among others Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS; R. N. Dash, Secretary, Prof. Harekrishna Satapathy, VC, KISS University; Julius Lakra, Registrar and other officials were present.
