Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, launched new portals, Mission Shakti Website, Mobile Apps and a Special Portal on Bank Linkage along with an IEC package to abolish witch-hunting through a Video Conference and said that Mission Shakti has a sibling planted on 8th March 2001 has now grown into a big tree, giving hopes to 80 Lakh mothers in the State. Hon’ble Chief also inaugurated Working Women’s Hostel at Jharsuguda, Jajpur and Bhubaneswar.
Chief Minister further said that success of Mission Shakti will inspire the mothers in the State and will turn into a massive movement of one Core women, taking the message of empowered Odisha to every household. Hon’ble Chief Minister expressed happiness that Mission Shakti as a socio-economic movement has brought in a vigorous rural economy in the State. He also thanked all the members of Mission Shakti, Anganwadi Workers, ASHAs and Health Workers for their roles with responsibilities during Covid challenge, besides sensitizing their families.

Tukuni Sahoo, Advisor to Mission Shakti, Chairperson, State Commission for Women, Chairperson, Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Chief Secretary Sri Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Development Commissioner Sri Pradip Kumar Jena, Principal Secretary, WCD Department Smt. Anu Garg, Commissioner-cum-Director, Mission Shakti Smt. Sujata Karthikeyan, Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister (5-T) Sri. V.K. Pandian and Member Secretary, State Council for Child Welfare were present in the programme.
