Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Gymnastics HPC inside Kalinga Stadium

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Gymnastics HPC inside Kalinga Stadium in presence of Sports Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Sports Secretary Vineel Krishna, Dy Director, HR & Admin ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, Keiji Kubota & other officials.’

CM said  Odisha’s sporting ecosystem has become more robust, enhancing athletes’ abilities to compete & shine in both national & international competitions. CM added these HPCs will play pivotal role in discovering untapped talents & nurturing potential of medal-winning athletes.

CM said  Odisha is committed to the development of Gymnastics. CM expressed delight over the partnership between  Odisha & AM/NS India for development of Gymnastics. CM said this will go a long way in creating a vibrant gymnastics ecosystem & help identify & nurture young talent.

Expressing happiness over the partnership with Tata Group for hockey development at HPC & grassroots centers, CM said this will help nurture talent & contribute towards producing elite players for the national teams.

CM said Govt has developed more open & holistic sports ecosystem with excellent & modern infra with an aim of helping athletes to achieve sporting excellence. CM presented cheque of ₹10 lakh to gymnasts, Rakesh Patra & Tapan Mohanty for qualifying for upcoming Asian Games 2023.

CM announced the strengthening of the partnership with Tata Group and starting of new HPCs in Archery and Sports Climbing. This will further help #Odisha sportspersons to develop their skills in these sports disciplines.
