Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that ‘Odia University’ shall be established at Satyabadi, Puri for further research in the field of Odia Language, Literature and Culture. Chief Minister approved the design of ‘Odia Language University’ and hoped that it will provide best academic experience in a peaceful, serene and open environment in the line of Banavidyalaya.
Chief Minister said that Odia Language has got recognition as the 6th Classical language of India. Mentioning that enormous immortal works have been created in Odia language, Hon’ble Chief Minister hoped that the ‘Odia Language University’ in the campus of Satyabadi Banavidyalaya will be instrumental to place Odia language in global ambience.
Chief Minister said that ‘Odia Language University’ shall create more opportunity for research in Odia grammar, thesaurus, oral and written literature etc. with all-round development of creativity among students and shall be a Hallmark of Odia identity along with significance of Odia language in the country.
