Bhubaneswar: Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik announces ₹2200 crore Corona assistance package today . CM Patnaik announces a Rs.2200 Crore Package for the welfare of the weaker sections of society; focusing on Food Security, Social Security and Construction Workers.
The State Government will provide Rs 1000 to 94 lakh Food Security Act beneficiary families each. An amount of Rs 940 crore will be spent in this regard, the CM said. Ration of three months will be given to them in advance, he said.
Similarly, 48 lakh beneficiaries of social welfare schemes in the state will receive allowance of four months in advance and an amount of Rs 932 crore will be spent for the purpose, said Patnaik.
Announcing assistance for construction workers, the CM said Rs 1500 will be provided to 22 lakh such workers each, for which Rs 330 crore will be spent.
