Odisha BJP’s MLA candidate joins ruling BJD

Bhubaneswar: Former BJD MLA Bhagirathi Sethi, who is BJP’s candidate for Anandapur Assembly constituency for Odisha Elections 2019, rejoins BJD at Naveen Niwas in presence of Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik.

Sethi, along with hundreds of his supporters, joined the ruling party in presence of BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas here this afternoon.

He said that he decided to quit BJP due to infighting in the party and conspiracy against him. He also said that this is his homecoming to the BJD family.

On the occasion, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik said, “I am glad that Bhagirathi Sethi has returned to the Biju Janata Dal. His rejoining will strengthen the party.”
