Surat: Delhi-based leading leading Odia organisation Odia Samaj organizing Odisha Parba in Surat on September 1-2. Odisha’s glorious heritage and culture will come alive in the heart of Gujarat at Surat on September 1-2, 2018.
The festival will be held at Surat Internation Exhibition Sarasan, Surat. The festival showcased the rich tapestry of Odishan culture, tradition and heritage in the Surat city of Gujarat. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani likely to inaugurate the event.
It should be noted that Odia Samaj has organized ‘OdishaParba’, a three-day extravaganza from 29th April-1st May 2017, in the heart of India’s capital at India Gate Lawns, New Delhi. The festival showcased the rich tapestry of Odishan culture, tradition and heritage. Once again the 2nd Edition of ‘Odisha Parba’ has been observed and it brings alive the socio-cultural ethos of Odisha in the heart of National Capital Region from 9th to 11th March 2018 at India Gate Lawns, New Delhi. In the 2nd Edition of this Parba, denizens from every nook and corner of Delhi NCR witnessed the unique culture, heritage, traditions, dance, melody, culinary delights, along with illustrious history and freedom struggle of Odisha under one spectrum.
It should be noted that Odia Samaj is a leading not-for-profit, socio-cultural organisation, emerging as an effective and think tank, primarily concerned about Odisha’s developmental priorities. It is also a platform for the Odia diaspora of the world, to interact and exchange ideas and ethos pertaining to the welfare of Odia people worldwide.
Odia Samaj is devoting a significant portion of its activities to public policy advocacy which would include identifying policy issues, evaluating ideas, and helping the stakeholders in designing public policies. It is fast emerging as an organisation where research and policy would meet, with Public Policy & Governance, (PPG) being a dedicated vertical, and would collaborate with the governments, the civil society, the industries and other stakeholders.
